Exam dreams may evoke the experience of being measured — often by an internal evaluator the dreamer has been carrying for years.
When a exam appears in the landscape of our dreams, it tends to slow us down. The image is familiar enough to recognise immediately, yet in the dream-world its presence carries a different weight than it does in waking life. It tends to mark seasons in waking life when the dreamer feels evaluated, exposed, or worried that they will be found unprepared.
